Alex and his team have been striving to open the 100 km of trails. He had to remove the fallen trees and branches, pack the snow, and then roll it before setting the track.
Alex's report, submitted at noon on Friday, indicates that there is at least 36 inches of snow on the ground, with deeper accumulations at higher elevations.
The map highlights the trails that will be accessible to skiers beginning on Monday Dec. 9. The trails will be open each day from 10:00 am and closed at 4:00.
We have a few rooms available in January, but due to this year's snow, they will fill up quickly, so call 705-649-3421 for reservations.
Our season for overnight guests begins December 27. Assist Stokely in spreading the word by sharing this blog with your friends and family.
For weather and trail updates, visit Stokely's website under the "ski and snowshoe trail-reports" section. This information is refreshed daily unless the trails remain in the same excellent condition.
Our management team, made up of Sarah, Pam, Chad, and Alex, is excited to welcome both our returning guests and newcomers to the Stokely experience.
With much enthusiasm,
The Bykers
