Stokely's Story

Stokely Creek Lodge is the result of a dream. Founder Chuck Peterson scoured the Algoma Highlands over forty years ago in search of the perfect blend of snow and terrain to pursue the sport he loved.

After his passing, the Byker family purchased the lodge and secured Stokely’s future for generations. For 16 years, Susan and Gaylen were extraordinary stewards of this special place.

In 2025, Stokely changed ownership for the third time since its beginnings. Now owned and operated by Andy Levin, Mary Freeman, Josh and Deanna Plath Stokely is poised to carry its legacy forward.  By continuing the traditions guests cherish while bringing fresh energy and new ideas Stokely is evolving to meet the needs of today's adventurers.
